A MgO thermocouple consists of a thermocouple element encased in a metal sheath and hard-packed with magnesium oxide mineral insulation. Thermocouple sheaths are fully annealed and can be formed into different configurations (minimum bend radius is twice the outer diameter of the sheath).
Key Features
High-purity MgO insulation for superior thermal conductivity and electrical insulation
Fully annealed metal sheath allows easy bending and forming
Suitable for high-temperature and harsh industrial environments
Fast response time and stable performance
Durable construction ideal for vibration and mechanical stress
Applications
Furnaces, kilns, and high-temperature process equipment
Chemical and petrochemical industries
Aerospace, automotive, and engine testing
Power plants and turbine temperature measurement
Confined or complex installations requiring flexible sensing
