Duplex Thermocouples use two junctions in one sensor. Duplex Thermocouples are used in applications where downtime must be kept to a minimum, one sensor will be used until it reaches the end of its lifespan, then the wire can be quickly swapped round to the other junction and a replacement sensor can be ordered.
Key Features
Two thermocouple junctions in one sensor for redundancy
Minimizes downtime during maintenance or sensor failure
Easy switch-over between primary and backup junction
Suitable for high-temperature and harsh industrial environments
Available in multiple thermocouple types (K, J, N, etc.)
Applications
Power plants and high-temperature process industries
Chemical and petrochemical reactors
Furnaces, kilns, and heat-treatment systems
Industrial ovens and continuous production lines
Critical operations where uninterrupted temperature monitoring is essential
