Description
- Type K thermocouple is made when a wire of Nickel-Chromium is welded to a wire of Nickel-Alumel. The grade of the wire is dependent not only on the combination of alloys used, but also on the purity of those alloys.

Constructed by welding Nickel-Chromium (Chromel) to Nickel-Alumel (Alumel) wire
Output voltage generated by the temperature difference between the junctions
Wire grade depends on alloy combination and purity level
High-purity alloys provide better accuracy and stability
Wide temperature measurement capability
Reliable performance at elevated temperatures
Good resistance to oxidation and corrosion
Fast response time due to small junction size
Cost-effective and widely available
Conforms to international standards (ANSI / IEC)
Industrial furnaces, kilns, and ovens
Heat treatment and metal processing equipment
Boilers and thermal power plants
Exhaust gas and engine temperature measurement
