Duplex Thermocouples use two junctions in one sensor. Duplex Thermocouples are used in applications where downtime must be kept to a minimum, one sensor will be used until it reaches the end of its lifespan, then the wire can be quickly swapped round to the other junction and a replacement sensor can be ordered.
Key Features
Two independent junctions in one sensor for built-in redundancy
Minimizes downtime by enabling quick switch-over
Ideal for continuous and critical process applications
Suitable for high-temperature and harsh industrial environments
Available in multiple thermocouple types (K, J, N, T, etc.)
Applications
Power plants and thermal power generation
Chemical and petrochemical process units
Furnaces, kilns, and heat-treatment systems
Industrial ovens and continuous manufacturing lines
Any critical operation where uninterrupted temperature monitoring is essential
